Stress during pregnancy can have harmful effects on both the mother and child, and we believe it is important to decrease stress levels as much as possible. Stress in the body affects both mom and baby. It can touch each part of the pregnancy from development through labor and post-delivery. Chronic stress during pregnancy may impact the baby's brain development. Stress can make labor more difficult and prolonged, increasing the likelihood of interventions such as cesarean sections. High levels of stress hormones, such as cortisol, can trigger premature labor, leading to the baby being born before reaching full term. It can also restrict blood flow to the uterus, reducing the amount of oxygen and nutrients the baby receives. This can result in the baby being born with a lower birth weight. Pregnant women who experience high levels of stress are at greater risk of developing postpartum depression after giving birth.

However, Soulful Pregnancy™ is dedicated to supporting women during their pregnancy journey. We believe that taking care of yourself during this time is an essential part of creating a healthy and happy pregnancy and postpartum period. We believe that reducing stress levels can promote a more positive and peaceful pregnancy experience, with benefits that extend to the postpartum period as well. This course is designed to help women connect with their inner selves and their babies, providing support and guidance every step of the way. Taking care of yourself during this time is an essential part of creating a healthy and happy pregnancy and postpartum period.

The techniques you learn during this course promote relaxation which reduces stress levels and fosters a calm, peaceful environment for both the mother and the developing baby. Practicing meditation and mindfulness during pregnancy enhances emotional well-being, promoting a sense of inner peace that can positively impact maternal mental health. Dr. Roz has designed the sessions in this course with a specialized focus on both mother and baby.

Together, we will engage in meditation practices that help pregnant women develop a deeper connection with their growing baby, fostering a sense of bonding and spiritual awareness.
